GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the plan and design of manufacturing processes in a cutting-edge solid oxide fuel cell production environment. The position’s primary goal will be to maximize efficiency by analyzing layout and operation of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Other responsibilities include determining parts and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, developing suppliers to manufacture outsourced parts, and working with the fuel cell production operators. The position must have knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular engineering field. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required to be successful.

Hours: This is a fulltime salary position, covering 40 hours a week and is not subject to overtime. Schedule should overlap the production schedule as much as possible.

Additionally, team member begins earning PTO immediately upon hiring and is eligible for 401(K) with company match (subject to vesting schedule).

Most work is performed in enclosed buildings. Varied indoor working environment conditions. While performing the duties, the candidate is frequently exposed to computer terminals, sitting, and standing for long lengths of time. Frequent and prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen. Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, and bending during each workday. The vision requirement includes close vision, distant vision, and computer vision. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Carrying up to 45 pounds. PPE for production, as well as PPE for Covid and infectious diseases, include a facial mask, and protective gloves as necessary.
