Inventory Coordinator

Work Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Full Time Non-Exempt/ Hourly Position

Job Summary

The Inventory Technician/ Coordinator will count, manage, and report the inventory of production materials and consumables. The inventory position will control the flow of inventory by receiving materials, maintaining physical locations, and ERP locations. Our work environment is a fast paced, technically challenging environment, and the ideal candidate must work well under minimum supervision. A high degree of individual technical skills, initiative, and accuracy is required.

Responsibilities

Perform Counts on Production Materials and Finished Products

  • Accurately count production materials per cycle count list.
  • Develop procedures for cycle counting WIP.
  • Create a matrix for tare weights.

Maintain Physical and Virtual Material Locations

  • Verify every materials storage container has a labeled part number and labeled inventory location.
  • Verify all physical storage locations are match ERP locations.

Report on Inventory Cycle Counts

  • Report weekly and monthly on inventory counts and pareto variances per inventory count and cost.

Receive Incoming Materials

  • Count and check-in materials into ERP.
  • Put materials in their designated locations.
  • Verify all primary and secondary containers have SDS labels.

Kit Materials

  • For inventory accuracy, materials will be kitted from a material cage.

CLIMATE

Under general supervision, Inventory Technician must be able to work independently in a rapidly changing environment. Must apply experience and engineering judgement to make decisions with limited information. Must balance multiple projects and be comfortable reacting to changing priorities.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the candidate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings. Varied indoor working environment conditions. While performing the duties, the candidate is frequently exposed to computer terminals, sitting, and standing for long lengths of time. Frequent and prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen. Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, and bending during each workday. The vision requirement includes close vision, distant vision, and computer vision. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Carrying up to 45 pounds. PPE for production, as well as PPE for infectious diseases, include a facial mask, and protective gloves as necessary. These ADA requirements are not inclusive of the performed and responsibilities to be held by the candidate.
