About the Position

A network administrator/IT coordinator is a critical part of our admin team, responsible for developing and maintaining our team’s hardware, software, and servers. The network administrator will interface with every member of Edge Autonomy’s team to keep their technology working and secure. A successful network administrator will have a passion for the technical details of running IT systems as well as supporting others

Minimum Requirements: 

  • US Citizen
  • No clearance required

Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Delivery, setup, installation, troubleshooting, update, and repair of all hardware and software (workstations, printers, phone systems, etc.) for a team of 50 people
  • Work with our IT provider to maintain the network, servers, and VPN
  • Provide IT support to all team members
  • Communicate, discuss, and listen to challenges with management, teammates, etc.

Base Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience in IT
  • Experience running networks and servers
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity topics and practices
  • Knowledge of network architecture and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Unending patience with machines and the people who use them
  • Computer (Windows PC) competency in MS Office and MS Excel

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT
  • Ability to run and terminate network cables

About the Position

A fabricator or composites technician is an integral part of our production team, working in the fabrication shop to fabricate, assemble, and repair various UAV components using materials including carbon fiber, aramid fabrics, resins, and adhesives. Fabricators are responsible for building assemblies to a spec, ensuring that all work and components meet rigorous quality standards. These team members work across various areas of the shop, including wet layup, prepreg, and finish work. A good composites technician combines hands-on skills with a strong knowledge of materials including their proper handling and required personal protective equipment.

A successful fabricator understands the importance of building consistent, identical components, paying attention to all the details along the way. Most importantly, a composites technician is a self-starter who has a team mindset: communicating obstacles to the team lead, taking up work without being asked, closely inspecting components, and diligently filling out required paperwork.

  • Follow verbal and written instructions to configure and assemble composite components
  • Configure, assemble, and bond raw composite materials and components
  • Post-process finishing such as sanding, cutting, trimming, deburring, cleaning, priming, and painting by hand

  • Assist engineering and other production staff in resolving issues related to equipment and processes as required

About the Position

An Electronics Technician is an integral part of our production team; they are responsible for building assemblies to the document specification, ensuring that all work and components meet rigorous quality standards. A successful electronics technician has a keen attention to detail and supports others in the shop and throughout the company, both technically and as teammates.

Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing and assembling cables and wire harnesses
  • Testing and function checking completed assemblies
  • Filling out travelers and documenting components’ progress through the shop
  • Regular use of the following tools: soldering iron, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, screwdriver, hand drill/grinder/cutter, drill press, Windows PC, digital multi-meter, etc.
  • Communicate, discuss, and listen to challenges with management, teammates, etc.

Base Qualifications:

  • Experience with soldering and/or hand crimping
  • Experience in a production setting
  • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics
  • Familiarity using a microscope
  • The ability to read and follow schematics, drawings, procedures, etc.
  • Computer (Windows PC) competency in word processing and spreadsheets

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience using a digital multimeter
  • Electronics projects or work experience portfolio
  • Current or past IPC J-STD-001 certification
  • Current or past IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
  • Can apply Ohm’s Law in a practical situation

About the Position

Edge Autonomy in San Luis Obispo is seeking a software development engineer to join our engineering group and help further develop our Ground Control Station (GCS) software. We are looking for a candidate who can collaborate well with a small team to develop unmanned aircraft products for military and commercial applications. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, fun, and rewarding.

Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain Ground Control Station (GCS) software.
  • Guide development efforts towards successful project delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Collaborate with other software developers, aero-mechanical engineers, and QA technicians.
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans.

About the Position

Our inventory control specialist is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, and physical inventory of materials and supplies for our manufacturing operations. In addition, they perform the critical functions of receiving inspection, work order kitting, and material routing. The specialist is expected to maintain an organized inventory space while keeping our critical processes supplied with an adequate volume of conforming build kits. Clear, proactive communication and a sense of urgency are essential in this vital role.

Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a sense of ownership of the enclosed inventory room
  • Maintaining and updating inventory and purchasing records
  • Reporting and investigating discrepancies between records and physical counts
  • Cycle counting and monthly reconciliation of inventory against financial reports
  • Picking, kitting and packing items from inventory to fulfill order requirements
  • Review and print released documentation to confirm document version
  • Communicating stock status and delays with management, purchasing, engineering, and production
  • Receiving, unloading, and signing for deliveries
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure received materials match order and invoices
  • Processing returns for non-conforming product

Additional Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of inventory control
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, willingness to work with others
  • Experience with MS Office, ERP system, QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation is preferred
  • Forklift experience is preferred

    • Enter bills and credit card statements
    • Pay bills in accordance with their terms
    • Vendor correspondence
    • Vendor account reconciliations
  • Assist in processing payroll
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Support successful month-end closing process
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Filing and organization

Base Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

About the Position

Edge Autonomy is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for period-end close, GAAP financial reporting, payroll, treasury management, accounts payable, customer billing and accounts receivable, budget management, inventory accounting, implementation of internal control policies and procedures, and working with public accounting firms for audits, tax filings and other accounting services. The successful candidate will be responsible for period-end close, reporting with GAAP and IFRS, payroll, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, implementation of internal control policies and procedures, and working with public accounting firms for audit, tax compliance and other accounting services. The Corporate Controller will help recruit and supervise members of the finance and accounting staff, with responsibility for interviewing, hiring and training new employees, planning and assigning work, performance appraisal, and rewarding and disciplining employees. This is a position that will work closely with executive management, and provide support to engineering and manufacturing operations, program management teams, and other business partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer ERP/MRP technology platforms for general ledger and cost accounting, employee timekeeping, payroll, supply chain management, inventory management, customer relationship management and human capital management

About the Position

ERP Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a successful Microsoft D365 Implementation (delivered on time, meeting customer requirements, with high team satisfaction), while working in coordination with IT Leadership. The PM will facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks and resource requirements. The PM will also be responsible for developing a project plan, assigning tasks and activities to project team members and monitor such tasks to completion. Lastly this is a role that will also require some hands on work such as project documentation, facilitating of business process sessions, root cause analysis and problem solving.

  • Provide system support, performance management, capacity planning, troubleshooting, database administration, root cause analysis and end user support for the ERP system
  • Work with IT Team on policies and procedures in the area of ERP Systems.

About the Position:

Procurement specialists are responsible for the day to day purchasing activity of the company based on production orders. Position Summary

Edge Autonomy is seeking a Contracts Director who possesses a deep knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, and commercial contracting principles. This individual will lead and manage all Contracts Administration-related activities through all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including supporting pricing and proposals, negotiations, maintenance, and closeouts. Further, you’ll be looked upon to lead the necessary oversight and guidance on proposals and other key contractual negotiations while also ensure company compliance with federal and commercial regulations.   • Serve as principal advisor on contract-related matters to the company and executive management teams

Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Director drives brand performance and share by capitalizing on market opportunities (i.e., product portfolio strategy, innovation, and renovation) rooted in fact-based analysis and customer insight. In this role, you’ll be responsible for execution of projects related to the brand’s strategy and innovation & renovation plans in collaboration with sales, channel partners, operations, product development and finance on various generating demand initiatives. The company is seeking a well-rounded Marketing leader, able to drive continuous improvement in audience planning, content strategy, brand and communications, sales enablement, demand generation, with a strong analytical and strategic skills that will enable success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Use customer and marketplace data and trends to support developing a deeper understanding of the demographics, and acquisition drivers of the brand’s customers or a particular customer segment.
  • Dive into demand landscape for the customer/brand by utilization of digital insight tools
  • Manage end to end brand projects and assignments in a way that demonstrates an understanding of key customer insights and an ability to activate them in relevant strategy and innovation activities.
  • Leverage data, trends and support from the leadership team and Market Research to help build a robust and actionable marketing plan to address knowledge gaps in customer, brand, product, business and marketplace learnings.
  • Apply data to support defining a brand’s short-term and long-term innovation strategy.
  • In collaboration with cross-functional and external engineering experts, develop projects in support of the brand’s innovation strategy such as new idea generation and validation, commercialization strategies and plans and channel- or customer-specific opportunities.
  • Lead the creation of demonstration videos of products to highlight discriminators from competitors, as well as design and refine company product datasheets that are delivered to customers
  • Work directly with the leadership team to develop marketing plans and objectives that meet or exceed revenue expectations and support customer engagement activities
  • Lead, organize and coordinate Edge Autonomy activities at select trade shows, demonstrations, industry conferences, and community and company events
  • Lead the development, refinement, and evolution of company website to fully articulate Edge Autonomy profile, products and capabilities while optimizing user experience and brand awareness
  • In close collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer and leadership team, draft press releases and coordinate the international distribution as needed
  • In partnership with the Chief Growth Officer, create and implement 3-year customer centric brand plans to drive and/or sustain long-term brand health including equity, awareness, and engagement
  • Draft and post content to company Social Media sites and make necessary updates consistent with the company’s desired messaging defined by the developed marketing and communication strategy
  • Assist in creating the annual communications plan including: recommended touchpoint plans, activation/implementation plans, stewardship and measurement
  • Identify marketing initiatives to include social media and print that will advance the name of the company and product portfolio among targeted customers and growth opportunities
  • Work with our global team which includes offices in Eastern Europe, California, Virginia, and Oregon, to execute a comprehensive marketing and corporate communications strategy
  • In conjunction with the global engineering and product team post changes to the company website as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area with at least 8-10 years of progressive association experience and/or managing the marketing function OR a master’s degree in Business, Marketing, MBA or related field and 5+ years of related work experience is required
  • At least 3-5 years in a management capacity
  • Experience leveraging trends and formal data to generate insights to understand customer behavior and government acquisition strategy
  • Demonstrated ability and initiative to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on collective brand goals
  • Basic financial acumen and the understanding of calculating risk/return on business decisions
  • Experience posting content on social media sites; Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in unmanned systems technology is preferred
  • Experience in the defense industry and government contracting environment is preferred
  • Experience developing strategic brand/product plans, such as communication campaigns or commercialization strategies is preferred
  • Experience leading marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies is preferred

Hiring Requirements

  • Domestic and international travel is required and could exceed 25%. Passport required.
  • This position is located out of our Herndon VA, office. A Hybrid work model arrangement will be considered for this position
  • If an offer of employment is extended, a background check is required, and the offer of employment is contingent on the results.
  • This is a salaried position requiring 40 hours a week during normal business hours. Additional hours may be required to support development or production goals.
